Jan Weismüller is to become the new Head of Infrastructure and Transportation Finance at LBBW. The 44-year-old is moving from KFW IPEX-Bank, where he most recently worked as Team Head Digital and Energy Infrastructure in London. Prior to this, the economics graduate spent five years as Vice President in transport finance at the bank in Frankfurt. From 2006 to 2012, he held leading positions in Helaba's Structured and Leveraged Finance business in Frankfurt and New York.
"Due to its significant contribution to the sustainable transformation of the economy, the infrastructure financing business is highly relevant for LBBW. I am delighted that we have been able to gain an internationally experienced expert in Jan Weismüller. Thanks to his many years of experience, he has extensive specialist expertise and market knowledge as well as a good network in the sector. He will thus strengthen and drive forward the expansion and further development of our Project Finance division in the future," says LBBW Board member Thorsten Schönenberger, who is responsible for the Real Estate and Project Finance division on the LBBW Board of Managing Directors.
Jan Weismüller will take over from Thomas Schulz, who has been responsible for the division since it was founded in 2018, on August 1, 2024. Schulz has decided to end his career for personal reasons and took early retirement at the end of March 2024. Until Weismüller's move to LBBW, Jens Heil, Head of LBBW's Sustainable Energy Finance department, will take over the management of the division on an interim basis.
